RSVP calls for bhangra, hip-hop dancers to be part of their upcoming film

From picking an intriguing subject to innovative edgy marketing. Ronnie Screwvala Production, better known as RSVP, is certainly attracting attention. For one of their upcoming projects, RSVP is holding a talent hunt on social media asking people good at Bhangra, Hip Hop styles of dance to send in their videos.

“Is #Bhangra and #HipHop your style? Then we at #RSVP are looking out for you! Send in your dance videos to be a part of our upcoming Bollywood feature film here: [email protected],” RSVP tweeted.

The email id seems to suggest that the film’s name could be Bhangra, but then again no production house gives away the title of their upcoming film so easily.  The tweet made it clear that the production house is initially casting dancers for a film.

Producer Ronnie Screwvala is an industry veteran who earlier found UTV Motion Pictures in 1990. Disney India bought a substantial stake in UTV and the new entity produced a host of films such as Swades (2005), Rang De Basanti (2006), Jodhaa Akbar (2006). Screwvala left Disney and formed a new production house, RSVP.  The new firm has already produced the Netflix films — Lust Stories (2018),  Love Per Square Foot (2018) and Karwaan (2018). Their upcoming films include Uri, Pihu, Kedarnath, Sonchirya and The Sky Is Pink. RSVP is also co-producing the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Salute, that will be based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma.
