Miles Dominic Heizer simply known by friends and fans as Miles Heizer is a Hollywood actor and singer who has been gracing our screens for over a decade. Miles was born in Greenville, Kentucky on the 16th of May 1994 to a mother who is a nurse, he also has an older sister with whom he grew up, their family moved to L.A when he was ten years old.
Heizer got involved in the acting industry quite early as a child actor and has proven to be one of the best the industry will boost of in his and our own time. His first appearance as an actor was as Joey Everton in an episode of CSI: Miami titled “Nothing to Lose”, this was followed a short film Paramedics where he portrayed Young James. He has also starred in other TV series including Private Practice, Ghost Whisperer, Bones and Shark.
At the age of twelve (2007), he played Davey Danner in the movie Rails & Ties which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film. In that same year, Miles Heizer began playing Joshua Lipnicki on ER – a medical drama series which aired on NBC. In 2010, he began starring as Drew Holts on another NBC series Parenthood. His best friend Mae Whitman starred his sister (Amber Holt) in the series until it ended in 2015 while earlier in 2013, he played Josh in the musical comedy film Rudderless.
The actor played a supporting role as Marshall Lovett in the film The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015), the following year, he appeared in the film Nerve as Tommy Mancuso. Miles Heizer started appearing as Alex Standall in the 2017 Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why. Miles played Cal Price (Simon’s classmate) in the 2018 movie Love, Simon.
The 2018 romantic teen comedy-drama film Love, Simon based on Becky Albertalli’s novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda starred Jennifer Garner, Nick Robinson, and Josh Duhamel. The film was about Simon Spier, a high school gay closeted boy who has to balance his family, friends and a blackmailer who was threatening to reveal his sexual identity to the entire school and to also fish out the classmate whom he was in love with.
The film was premiered in February 2018 at the Mardi Gras Film Festival and in the U.S in March of the same year and did receive acclaimed critics; the film has been praised for its revolutionary normalcy, big heart, talented cast, and diversity.

Miles Heizer’s sexuality became an issue of debate after his amazing and impressive performance as Alex Standall in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. The series which deals with bullying and suicide is focused on high school student who committed suicide and left behind 13 cassette tapes explaining why he had to take his life.
A few weeks after the series debuted on Netflix, rumors began flying around that Heizer and Justin Foley his rival in the series played by Brandon Flynn could actually be an item in real life. The rumors were based on the strong friendship that has formed between the two actors, which is contrary to what they both played on the series; they are seen hanging out alone or with fellow cast mates and sharing several cute photos of their hangouts on their Instagram pages.

The speculations were further given substance when the video of the duo sharing a kiss surfaced online. The video was actually from a scene in a short film Home Movies, directed by Kevin Rios and released on Vimeo a few months back. The short film earned an Honorable Mention for the Audience Award at the Outfest’s Fusion Film Festival for portraying a strong love between gay men.
Miles Heizer’s representative responding to the rumors said the duo are nothing more than just friends. They are just friends from the show and are not dating, he told Page Six. Many have found the statement rather hard to believe that they are just friends; while it is true that the chemistry between the two men is actually one that can not just be brushed off, we just have to wait for them to confirm themselves an item.
