The Hong Kong famed actress France Nuyen’s first marriage was to a psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Gaspar in 1963. The relationship did not last long, and after three years, the pair divorced.
After a year of her divorce, she married American actor Robert Culp. The wedding took place on December 9, 1967, in Beverly Hills in the presence of close friends and family.

France was born in 1939 in the war-torn Marseille, France. Her Cambodian father was a cook in the merchant marine and was absent for much of her life. Her French mother was physically and emotionally ill. Thus, she was raised by distant relatives, many of whom physically abused her.
Nuyen’s stars finally started shining when she moved to New York in 1956 to help her father in his restaurant. Since she and her father did not share a deep relationship, he threw her out after two weeks.
Thankfully, lonely France was taken in by a Canadian family in New York. After that, she started working in a French pastry shop to sustain herself.
The star knew she was made for better things and pursued a modeling career. Though she did not get modeling jobs that she was looking for. Instead, she landed a life-changing offer to be an actress.
