The first look of Akiv Ali’s directorial debut, De De Pyaar De, puts the spotlight on Ajay Devgn with his signature move. The film, produced by Luv Ranjan, in association with T-Series and VV Films Limited UK, will release in theatres on 17 May.
The poster, which released early on Friday, features the three main leads of the film – Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. With the two leading ladies on either side of him, Devgn is caught in a split pose that has now become a trademark of his.
The pose, made famous as Devgn’s entry in Phool Aur Kaante (1994) has since become a signature move for the actor featuring in many movies since.
The film was initially scheduled for a 26 April release, before it was postponed to the month of May. The decision was taken to avoid the release of two Devgn led films, Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De, within the span of 20 days.
De De Pyaar De is likely to see Devgn romance both Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in a comedy. This is the first romantic comedy for Ajay Devgn since Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (2011).
