Prathamesh Parab of Balak Palak fame to play the lead in Takatak

Actor Prathamesh Parab will next be seen in director Milind Zumber Kavde’s Takatak. He is paired opposite Ritika Shrotri in the movie produced by Purple Bull Entertainment, V Patke Films and Gaonwala Creations.

The makers announced the film with a title poster. The artwork uses hearts, giving a hint that romance could have a major role to play in the film. The title — Takatak — gives an indication that the film could be humorous or light-hearted in nature.

Parab is known for his hilarious antics and comic timing. He got noticed in his debut film Balak Palak (2012). Directed by Ravi Jadhav, he played Vishu, a cunning teenager who encourages his friends to watch porn films.

He rose to fame with the success of Timepass (2014) with the same director where he was cast opposite Ketaki Mategaonkar. He was also seen in films like Drishyam (2015), Urfi (2015), Lalbaugchi Rani (2016), Khajoor Pe Atke (2018) and Ziprya (2018).

Shrotri has played character roles in films like Slam Book (2015) and Boyz (2017). Her last appearance was as Madhuri Dixit’s daughter in Bucket List (2018).

Takatak will be released on 28 June.
