Kangana Ranaut hit out against her detractors, including director Krish, in her latest comments. Commenting on the slow pickup of Krish’s latest film, NTR Mahanayakudu (2019), the actress said that it was “time to question every vulture who was out for my blood, who attacked and harassed me for taking charge of a troubled situation.”
The actress came under a lot of flak for taking over Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) after the unceremonious departure of Krish from the project. While Ranaut maintained that Krish was informed of the decision, and it was taken with the willingness of the producers, Krish accused the actress of taking over the project in his absence and without his knowledge.
Krish quit Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi to work on the NTR biopic featuring Nadamuri Balakrishna. The biopic was released in two parts, NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu. But after Sonu Sood criticised Ranaut for the decision to drop him from the project, Krish too spoke up in the media against the actress.

While NTR Kathanayakudu finished with dismal results at the box office, NTR: Mahanayakudu is also heading down the same lines, having earned close to Rs3 crore in its first two days.
Speaking about the failure of the film, Ranaut was quoted in Pinkvilla.com, saying, “Yes, I also read about zero recovery of NTR, it’s called black mark on the actor’s career.”
The actress went on to add, “My heart goes out to Balakrishna sir who trusted Krish and put so much at stake, but for me now is the time to question every vulture who was out for my blood, who attacked and harassed me for taking charge of a troubled situation and making a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film (Manikarnika), but what is shameful is that Krish and some paid media ran a sabotage campaign against a martyr’s biopic. Honestly, I am embarrassed of them, our freedom fighters gave blood for some thankless fools.”
Ranaut’s takeover of the project was criticised by several insiders from the industry including Pooja Bhatt, Apurva Asrani, Bejoy Nambiar among others.

Ranaut was also the centre of another controversy with a leaked shot of her atop a mechanical horse going viral on social media. While Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal jumped to Ranaut’s defense on social media, stunt director Allan Amin spoke to Cinestaan.com explaining the reason behind the ‘stunt-horse.
“This is definitely normal. What happens is that if an actor who is riding falls off the horse, the whole shoot goes for a toss. The actor falling off is the most dangerous thing [to happen to a film]. This is the most important thing we should remember. Fighting and sword-fighting is okay,” Amin said.
For now, it looks like Ranaut is set on taking on the industry by herself.
