In the third song, ‘Jee Len De’, from Romeo Akbar Walter, John Abraham’s character Rehmatulla Ali is deep into his covert life as a spy wherein he reestablishes a connection from his old life, in the form of his love interest, played by Mouni Roy.
The romantic number composed by Raaj Aashoo is a solo track sung by Mohit Chauhan. The film’s previous song brought back singer Rabbi Shergill and here Mohit Chauhan, a singer we were quite familiar with a decade ago, returns with aplomb. In the simple composition, he brings to the fore the internal anguish of John’s character.
The brief ballad with Punjabi origins has been written by Murali Agarwal and Shabbir Ahmed.
The characters of John and Roy seem to grow closer after their separation. Their time together is a safe haven compared to the world of espionage and impending war outside.
