Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi to clash as lawyers in Rumi Jaffery’s courtroom drama

Amitabh Bachchan is fast becoming the industry’s go-to lawyer on screen. After Pink (2016) and Badla (2019), the actor is set to appear as a lawyer on screen again in Rumi Jaffery’s upcoming courtroom drama. Reports suggest that the actor will face off against Emraan Hashmi in the film.

The film will mark Jaffery’s return to direction after Gali Gali Chor Hai (2012).

Jaffery, the writer of films like Coolie No.1 (1995), Judwaa (1997) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004).

A Mumbai Mirror report quoted a source close to the production saying, “The shooting will beging on 13 May. The film is an intense drama with important courtroom sequences.”

Another report in Peepingmoon.com stated that the film will also feature Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla, and might see Bachchan play the role of a judge.

Bachchan has currently finished Jhund with Nagraj Manjule, and also has a smaller schedule for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra to complete.
