Box office: Uri bags Rs2.75 crore on fourth Monday; Ek Ladki ..fares poorly 

A new week begins, but there is no change in order at the box office. Vicky Kauhhal’s Uri; The Surgical Strike (2019) is still leading the way. The RSVP produced action thriller bagged an impressive Rs2.75 crore nett. on its fourth Monday to take the film’s India business to a staggering Rs192 crore nett, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Made at an estimated budget of Rs28 crore, Uri: The Surgical Strike released in about 2200 screen in India. The film has received Rs14 crore, in combined digital and satellite rights, as well as Rs 2 crore for music rights – all sold to Zee. 

Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) had a steady second Monday bagging Rs2 crore nett. The film, a Zee Studios, Kairos Kontent and Nishtan Pitti co-production, has so far made Rs72.31 crore nett at the box office.

Made at an estimated budget of Rs100 crore plus, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi had released in about 3000 screens in India. The combined satellite, music and digital have been sold for Rs40 crore. Amazon India holds the exclusive digital streaming rights of the film. 

Meanwhile, Fox Star Studios produced Ek Lakdki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga was among the new releases last week, but it has failed to take off at the box office. The first Monday collection amounted to Rs1.50 crore nett, taking its four day total to Rs 13 crore nett. Made at an estimated budget of Rs35 crore, the lesbian love story, starring Sonam and her father Anil Kapoor, had released in about 1200 screens across India.
