Actor Nani, who was last seen on screen in Telugu comedy Deva Daasu, has joined hands with Vikram Kumar for the first time for a project titled Gang Leader. On the occasion of the actor’s birthday on Sunday, the film’s makers revealed the title and a special video.
Gang Leader is the title of megastar Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster 1991 film, directed by Vijaya Bapineedu, who passed away recently.
Announcing the film’s title, Nani wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday: “Still remember the aviators and the beard look and the welding gun in his hands. First day first show as a kid and the rest was history. A proud fan announcing his title today. Nani 24 title is here.”
The teaser introduces us to Nani’s family which features five women. The character in the video explains that Nani’s character is the support system of this gang of women and that’s what makes him the gang leader.
Being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, and it’s his second outing with Nani after Jersey.
Gang Leader, which is already confirmed to hit the screens this August, will be Nani’s second release of the year.
Nani’s next release will be Jersey, in which he plays a cricketer. Directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, it’s the story of a late bloomer which unfolds between 1986 and 1996.
