Saif Ali Khan’s period film with Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Films is set to be released in September. The makers of the film put out an official announcement of the release period, with the added information that the film will be renamed.
Initially titled Hunter, the project was to be directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Rai’s Colour Yellow banner. However, the makers have decided to change the title, with September being the month of the film’s release.
The website of The Indian Express newspaper stated that the filmmakers will make an announcement of the new title soon.
Saif Ali Khan reportedly plays a failed sadhu in late 18th century India in the thriller. A couple of pictures from the sets, which were leaked in August 2018, featured the actor wearing a grim-looking beard, with an 18th-century English army jacket and dreadlocks.
Currently, Saif Ali Khan is involved in the prep for the Ajay Devgn-led Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. Khan will be playing Uday Bhan Rathod, the Rajput commander of the Mughal garrison at Kondana fort, which Shivaji’s aide Tanaji Malusare was entrusted with capturing.
In addition to these two historical films, the actor will also be part of the horror comedy Bhoot Police this year, alongside Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
