Two days after the birth of their first child, actress Neha Dhupia and actor Angad Bedi revealed her first glimpse and name on social media.
Both father and mother took to Instagram to post their daughter’s first photograph, a shot of her feet which displayed the words ‘Hello world’.
The couple also shared the name of their girl, Mehr, which means blessing. Mehr was born in Mumbai on 18 November at the Women’s Hospital in Khar.
Dhupia wrote, “Mehr Dhupia Bedi says hello to the world …” while Bedi wrote, “Waheguru mehr kare”.
The congratulations are already pouring for little Mehr who was welcomed online by her parents’ famous friends like Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Karisma Kapoor, Baadshah, Sophie Choudry, Raftaar, Sonu Sood and others.
The trend of photographing the newborn’s feet, or foot, for their online debut is not new. Both actor Shahid Kapoor and actress Asin revealed their daughters Misha and Arin, respectively, with a similar photograph.
Neha Dhupia acted in the Netflix anthology Lust Stories and Helicopter Eela this year, while Angad Bedi was seen in Soorma (2018) with Diljit Dosanjh. The couple married earlier this year, on 10 May 2018.
