Andhadhun tops IMDb’s Top 10 Indian Movies of 2018 list

Two of actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s films, Andhadhun (2018) and Badhaai Ho (2018), have cracked the list of IMDb’s Top 10 Indian Movies of 2018. While Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun comes in at number one, Amit Sharma’s Badhaai Ho holds steady at number five.

The online list is determined by users who rank the films on a 10-point scale.

Ram Kumaar’s Tamil film Ratsasan (2018), starring Amala Paul and Vishnu Vishal, and C Premkumar’s 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, are listed at numbers two and three, respectively. Nag Ashwin’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Mahanati (2018) on the life of actress Savitri, starring Keerthy Suresh is on number four.

R Balki’s Pad Man (2018), starring Akshay Kumar came in at number six, while Sukumar’s Telugu film Rangasthalam (2018), a period drama starring Ram Charan is ranked number seven. The Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree (2018), which recently completed 100 days at the box office, followed in on number eight.

Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi (2018), starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic, Sanju (2018), starring Ranbir Kapoor, rounded out the annual list at numbers nine and ten, respectively.

The rankings were announced by IMDb founder and CEO, Col Needham, who arrived in India for the ocassion. “I am thrilled to announce and celebrate the 10 incredible Indian movies that resonated most strongly with our customers in 2018 during my first-ever visit to India,” he stated, while sharing that the country is the second biggest market for IMDb.
