This was not the First attempt of Anudeep in UPSC. He got a seat on the second attempt in 2013. He selected as Indian Revenue Service and was appointed as a customs and central excise officer.

Success Story
He said his success story very humbled way. He said – “Since the days of my graduation in engineering, I evinced interest in civil services. I prepared hard right from day one, but could not succeed in getting through the interview conducted by the Union Public Services Commission in my first attempt. Subsequently, I joined Google India as a software engineer in Hyderabad and continued my preparation for the civil”. However, my quest for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) continued and in the subsequent two attempts, too, I could not achieve success. This year, it was my last attempt and I put my heart and soul into it. By the grace of God, I made it to the top of the Civil Services,” Anudeep said.
