Podcasts are all the rage these days. They have continued to grow in popularity with every passing year, stealing vital viewership percentages from traditional radio play. The internet has turned many into celebrities, many of them via podcasts. Such is the story of Dan Katz.
Ever heard of Barstool Sports? It’s a company that in keeping with its name, produces only sports content. One of their premier content is the Pardon My Take (PMT) podcast co-hosted by Dan Katz, also fondly referred to as ‘Big Cat’.
It took PMT only three days after it launched to hit the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Sports Chart (February 28 – March 2, 2016). On March 3, 2016, it also made it into the top 40 on the Canadian iTunes Chart. Pardon My Take‘s success has not waned since then as it has maintained its position among the top 5 since it began airing.
Dan Katz’ Bio
Born Daniel Katz, the podcaster’s story begins in West Newton, a village in the city of Newton, in Massachusetts. He was born on January 30, 1985, and spent his growing years in Newton.
Daniel did his elementary and high school education in his home city. For the latter, he attended Newton North High School, located in Newtonville, from where he graduated in 2003.
It is widely believed, however, that the famous podcaster may not have bothered with a University education. According to a GQ interview, Katz did let slip, however, that his parents wished for him to study medicine and become a doctor. Perhaps they’re glad now that he didn’t go in that direction.
Who is Dan Katz’ Wife, Girlfriend?
Katz’ fans wondered about this for the longest time, until he finally let the cat out of the bag. This didn’t really happen under the circumstances he would have wished to reveal the information though.
Dan Katz is in a relationship. He has a partner and they live together. He has posted a picture of himself and his blonde haired girlfriend on Instagram too. But that is as far as his reveal went. He did not tell what she does or even her reveal her name. Since his admission of his relationship status, he also hasn’t said if they are still together or if they have officially tied the knot.
What is His Net Worth?
Katz is definitely financially comfortable. Podcasts tend to make a ton of money whenever they hit success as viewed in terms of how they monetize their audience. Typically, a podcast with as much as 100,000 listeners is deemed successful – Pardon My Take pulls in more ten times that number. At last count, sources put PMT at an average of 1.5 million listeners per episode.
The podcast is rumored to bring in a revenue of about $175,000 per episode. This means it makes over $27 million annually. According to Celebrity Net Worth and a few other number crunching sources, this puts Dan Katz’ net worth at $1 million. He hasn’t moved to confirm or deny these evaluations.
